What else does that money buy?

$10

$10 buys 1,000 Robux on roblox.com: one $9.99 pack.

Roblox sells Robux packs at $4.99, $9.99, $14.99, $19.99 and more (U.S. prices on roblox.com, October 2026); the buttons round them up. Drag the slider for anything in between.

$10 also buys

  • 1.3 kid's meals at a sit-down restaurant

Soup, drink, and a fries-included entree the kid actually finishes.

  • 1 new paperback book

A chapter book they pick out themselves and own forever.

  • 2 weeks of a $5 Spend-jar allowance

A whole week the kid runs their own budget without asking.

  • 1 kid matinee movie ticket

A real outing with popcorn money left over.

  • 1.3 months of a basic streaming subscription

The kind of subscription a family actually finishes a series on.

Robux: the most whole packs give at the U.S. prices on roblox.com, read October 2026. The everyday prices are round examples, not price quotes: a $10 paperback, an $8 kid’s meal, a $4 ice cream scoop.

How to use the calculator

  1. Pick the amount. Tap $5, $10, $15 or $20, Roblox’s $4.99 to $19.99 packs rounded up, or drag the slider anywhere from $1 to $50.
  2. Read the Robux. The green line gives the Robux that money buys on roblox.com, and which packs.
  3. Read the list together. Under it, what the same dollars buy instead, in whole items the money covers.
  4. Set the monthly budget. Pick one dollar amount a month; the table below turns it into Robux.

How many Robux $5, $10, $20 or $50 buys

At the U.S. prices on Roblox’s Robux page, read October 2026, in whole packs:

You spendPacks it coversRobux
$5One $4.99 pack500
$10One $9.99 pack1,000
$15One $14.99 pack1,500
$20One $19.99 pack2,000
$25One $19.99 pack and one $4.99 pack2,500
$50One $49.99 pack5,250
$100One $99.99 pack11,000

Roblox lists each pack as a base amount plus extra Robux (“Enjoy up to 25% more Robux”): the $9.99 pack is 800 plus 200 more, and the totals here include the extra. That is about 100 Robux a dollar on the $4.99 to $19.99 packs, 110 on the $99.99 pack and 120 on the $199.99 pack.

Set a monthly Robux budget

Pick one dollar amount for Robux, the same each month, and let your kid choose the packs inside it. The Roblox spending guide explains why, and suggests $5 to $15 a month for a preteen. In Robux:

Budget a monthRobux packs it coversRobux a monthOver a year
$5One $4.99 pack500$60, 6,000 Robux
$10One $9.99 pack, or two $4.99 packs1,000$120, 12,000 Robux
$15One $14.99 pack, or a $9.99 and a $4.991,500$180, 18,000 Robux
$20One $19.99 pack, or a $14.99 and a $4.992,000$240, 24,000 Robux

Roblox Plus, its monthly subscription, was $4.99 a month on the same page, and its bundles that add Robux every month were $8.99 (500 Robux), $12.99 (1,000 Robux), $21.99 (2,000 Robux) a month: a subscription belongs inside the same budget.

A worked example: a $10 budget from a $10 allowance

A $10 weekly allowance split 50 / 40 / 10 puts $4 a week in Spend, about $17 a month. A $10 Robux budget is a little over half of that, which leaves about $7 a month for everything else your kid buys. (The save, spend, give calculator works out the Spend jar for any allowance.)

At $10 the calculator shows 1,000 Robux, one $9.99 pack: 12,000 Robux over a year. The same money also buys 1 new paperback book, 1 kid matinee movie ticket or 2 weeks of a $5 Spend-jar allowance. If the pack still wins after that list is read out loud, it is this month’s Robux, and your kid chose it.

Make the budget hold with Roblox’s own limit

Roblox has a monthly spending limit in its parental controls. Its steps: go to parental controls in your settings, manage your child’s spending restrictions, and set your child’s monthly spending limit (Roblox, November 28, 2025). Roblox says the limit covers Robux and subscriptions to individual experiences. Set it to the budget you agreed, and the budget holds when nobody is watching.

For the store’s hardest push, the guide has what to say at 8, 11 and 15 when a limited-time pack appears. The FTC has acted on one game’s checkout:

  • $245 million

Epic Games, the maker of Fortnite, agreed to pay $245 million to refund consumers over what the FTC called dark patterns and billing practices.

Cap the Robux in Sprout Saver

Sprout Saver’s Microtransaction Tracker (Pro) has a Roblox preset: set a monthly dollar limit, and your kid’s home screen shows what’s spent this month and what’s left. A request over the limit is flagged to you, and you still approve or decline it. It counts what your kid asks to spend in the app and what you log; it does not connect to Roblox. The demo’s sample family has a $15 Minecraft limit; add Roblox there.

The Withdrawal Cooldown is off until a parent turns it on; then any withdrawal at or over the dollar threshold you pick waits for the number of hours you pick.
